It was surprisingly warm out today for September. It looks like it’s not quite time for boots and sweaters yet. Today a super cute high schooler told me my outfit was so in style and cute.  Definitely a winner if I’m winning over the kids.

I am in love with this jacket. My only reservation is the blue buttons. They are very hard to see in the picture because they are so small. I saw this jacket on Glee last week and they had replaced the blue buttons with super cute gold ones. Hmm. Which button should I choose?

Country Contentment

Sometimes when I look at other blogs I long to be a city girl. Walking to shops and resturants, having more that 5 options for near by dining, and the exciting hussle and bussle. Then I come home and I remember how much I love the countryside and my own backyard.

Birthday Boy

Today is Ben's Birthday. While we already celebrated with lots of dirt this weekend (more on that later), we did have a small celebration at home tonight.



Grilled salmon, zucccini, and homemade cheese cake for dessert.

Dining Room Table

          Last year over labor day weekend we built our dining room table. We finally got around to refinishing it this weekend. I love the way it turned out.
