Happiness is finding a giant J.Crew package waiting for you when you arrive home. Sadness is consequently having your husband look at you as to say how much did said giant package cost. Fortunately for him and my bank account nothing looked as good as I hoped and I will be returning most of it.  At least I have my favorite J. Crew item to fall back on. I love this sequin skirt. At first I thought it was too dressy for everyday, but I have been trying to not keep my beautiful pieces just for special occasions.

p.s. Don't you love my new bracelet? It almost looks like leaves or wings. It was also come in very handy for my upcoming Halloween costume.

Powerhouse Preppies

Just when I thought all the fall colors were over. I woke up this morning and saw the beautiful fall colors against the gray sky. Too bad my super cute Sperry's got cut out of the picture.

All day I was feeling preppy, which made me think of my favorite preppy, Zack Morris. One of my favorite episodes is the one where Casey Kasem comes and they have a dance competition. Zach and Jessi perform a routine named the “Powerhouse Preppies”. I may or may not have learned the dance just in case Mark-Paul came to sweep me off my feet I would be ready to perform it with him.

Today was one of those days when an outfit looks to great in your head but when you put it all together it’s  just not exactly how you imaged. I’m not particularly thrilled with this outfit, or my hair for that matter. Why am I so puffy and my hair so flat? Good thing I only spent 2 seconds on it. These darker days are making it harder and harder to get up in the morning. It feels like my husband and I are competing to see who can stay in bed longer and get ready faster. I thought I was winning until I see this outfit. Which do you choose more cuddle time and soft sheets or enough time to make yourself presentable for the day?

Monday Monday

Bada,badaba… Why do you come so quickly? I feel like I got nothing accomplished this weekend and now I need to try and make up for it this week. Tonight I’m going to work on changing my closet over from summer to winter items. It’s always fun to find “new” clothes that you haven’t seen all summer.

It was surprisingly warm out today for September. It looks like it’s not quite time for boots and sweaters yet. Today a super cute high schooler told me my outfit was so in style and cute.  Definitely a winner if I’m winning over the kids.

Candycane

I am in love with this jacket. My only reservation is the blue buttons. They are very hard to see in the picture because they are so small. I saw this jacket on Glee last week and they had replaced the blue buttons with super cute gold ones. Hmm. Which button should I choose?
